The laptop was not his. It came off the shared desk with an asset tag on the bottom, and at 4:12 in the morning, one chart after the one that was going to be the last chart, he put his face on it and stayed there for fourteen hours. The keys left a pattern on his cheek that he later photographed for the record.
He carried it into a small repair shop, signed the ticket, sat down in the waiting chair and fell asleep there too, so he never collected it. Everything on that drive is public property now, and he slept through that as well.
every alert you snooze is one more thing he slept through
He said one more chart at 03:58 and meant it at the time. At 4:12 his face arrived on the keyboard, and the machine spent the rest of the night at ninety degrees writing the letter F into a spreadsheet nobody has opened since.

He carried it in, signed the ticket, sat down in the chair by the window and was asleep before they had finished writing his name. The shop let him stay until closing and he has not been back since.

The drive went public one folder at a time over a long weekend. People rang. People wrote. One person came to the door. He was asleep for all of it and has since described the whole period as quiet.

Fixed while he was asleep, which is the same as saying fixed properly. No bag put aside for anybody who happened to be awake.
Burned before the nap started. There is nothing to unlock, nothing to pull, and nobody to ring about it at four in the morning.
Nothing on the buy, nothing on the sell, no fee for sleeping through the move. The only cost is the Robinhood Chain gas.
Mint and freeze revoked. Anybody can wake him, and several have tried, but nobody can touch what is in your wallet.
Every alert was snoozed, the whole drive is public, the position closed itself politely and the account is up on the week. He is still face down on the F row and would like everybody to keep it that way.
